Sold Out at Wembley: How Manifest Turned Turkish Pop Into an Export

Sold Out at Wembley: How Manifest Turned Turkish Pop Into an Export

Twenty months after forming on a TV talent show, a Turkish girl group has sold out a London arena. On 16 October 2026, Manifest played their first UK headline concert at OVO Arena Wembley, the indoor venue next to Wembley Stadium, in front of a sold-out crowd. A week earlier, their first English-language single, “Tralala”, became the first song by a Turkish female group to enter Spotify’s Daily Global Top 50. For promoters, brands, labels and tourism marketers, Manifest is the clearest test yet of whether Turkish pop can be built and sold as an export product, the way Turkish TV series already are.

In brief

  • Sold out in London: Manifest’s first international arena show, at OVO Arena Wembley on 16 October 2026, played to a sold-out house, Daily Sabah reported. Six truckloads of production equipment were brought in.
  • Global chart breakthrough: “Tralala”, released on 9 October 2026, debuted at No. 46 on Spotify’s Daily Global chart with about 1.92 million streams, a first for a Turkish female group.
  • Built, not discovered: the six members were selected through the Big5 Türkiye competition run by Hypers New Media, then trained in K-pop-style choreography before their February 2025 debut.
  • Scale at home: more than 7 million monthly Spotify listeners and more than 3 billion YouTube views, according to music industry reporting; tracks with tens of millions of streams each.

Who are Manifest and why does their business model matter?

Manifest is a six-member Turkish pop group created by a talent company, not a band that grew from clubs. The members are Esin Bahat, Hilal Yelekçi, Lidya Pınar, Mina Solak, Sueda Uluca and Zeynep Sude Oktay. All six came through Big5 Türkiye, a singing competition organised by Hypers New Media, with former Hepsi member Gülçin Ergül on the jury. After the competition the group trained for about six months in vocals and K-pop-inspired choreography.

This is the “idol” model familiar from South Korea: a company scouts, trains, produces, releases music on its own label (Hypers Music) and controls the brand. For Türkiye it is relatively new. The model concentrates rights, touring, sponsorship and content in one structure, which makes the group easier to package for international partners, from streaming platforms to concert promoters.

How fast did Manifest grow from debut to arena?

In under two years, from a first single to a London arena. The timeline below is drawn from public reporting.

Date Milestone
February 2025 Debut single “Zamansızdık” and first concert at Jolly Joker Arena, Istanbul
April 2025 Single “Arıyo”
13 June 2025 Debut album Manifestival, No. 1 in Türkiye and Azerbaijan; all 11 tracks entered Türkiye’s Top 50 streaming chart at once
28–29 June 2025 Two-day Manifestival event in Istanbul with about 25,000 tickets sold
May 2026 “Hileli” with Ajda Pekkan debuts at No. 1 on Spotify Türkiye, No. 155 on the Spotify Daily Global chart, 1.77 million opening-day streams
2026 Sunny Hill Festival, Pristina (Kosovo)
June 2026 London show announced; presales from 3 June, general sale 5 June
9 October 2026 “Tralala”, first English-language single; No. 46 on Spotify Daily Global
16 October 2026 Sold-out OVO Arena Wembley, London

What do the streaming numbers say?

Manifest already performs like an international act in digital terms. When the London show was announced, the group had more than 5.2 million monthly Spotify listeners; by October 2026 industry reporting put the figure above 7 million, with over 3 billion YouTube views.

Release Reported result
“Zamansızdık” (debut single) 57+ million Spotify streams
“Arıyo” 62+ million Spotify streams
Manifestival (album) 5 million YouTube views and 4 million Spotify streams in the first 24 hours; later 40+ million Spotify streams; third most-streamed girl group album globally in 2025
“Hileli” (with Ajda Pekkan) No. 1 Spotify Türkiye; trended on YouTube in 14 countries including the UK
“Tralala” No. 46 Spotify Daily Global, about 1.92 million streams on debut

For context, the first fully Turkish-language song in Spotify’s Global Top 50 was Zeynep Bastık’s “Lan” in 2024. “Tralala” is in English, with Turkish musical motifs; its video was directed by Yeeiid and filmed in London’s East End, with Turkish coffee and evil-eye charms as visual cues. The positioning is deliberate: global language, Turkish identity.

Why is a London arena show a business milestone?

Because arenas are where touring economics, sponsorship and diaspora demand meet. OVO Arena Wembley is one of London’s main indoor arenas, with a capacity of up to about 12,500. Selling it out on a first UK visit tells international promoters that the demand is real, not only digital.

Several factors stood behind it:

  • Diaspora plus new fans. The UK has a large Turkish-speaking community, and Manifest’s English single and YouTube trends in the UK widened the audience beyond it.
  • Full-scale production. Six trucks of equipment, reworked songs and new choreography: the show was built as an arena product, not a club gig. The set included an English version of “Amateur”, “Hileli”, “Toz Pembe”, “Snap” and a cover of the Spice Girls’ “Wannabe”.
  • Standard international ticketing. Tickets went through the usual UK presale chain (O2 priority, Live Nation and venue presales, then general sale), which puts the group on the radar of major promoters.

The group also has a six-part Netflix documentary reportedly in the works, according to the Official Charts Company. If confirmed, it would turn the London show into content as well as revenue.

What does it mean for Türkiye’s music and creative economy?

It shows that the playbook used for Turkish series can work for music. Turkish dramas became one of the country’s most visible cultural exports by combining strong local production with professional international distribution. Manifest applies a similar logic: a company-controlled format, consistent output (more than a dozen singles and an album in under two years), collaborations with established stars such as Ajda Pekkan, and an English single timed to the international debut.

The success also creates demand for services in Türkiye: choreographers, vocal coaches, music video crews, stylists, live production companies and digital marketing agencies that can work to international standards.

Our take

For brands: Manifest reaches young audiences in Türkiye, the Turkish diaspora and a growing international fan base called “Manifam”. Sponsorship of tours, collaborations on content and product partnerships are natural next steps; brands should assess audience fit and reputational criteria as with any youth-focused act.

For promoters and event organisers: the London sell-out is proof of concept for European dates in cities with large Turkish communities (Germany, the Netherlands, Austria, France) and for festival slots. Talking to Hypers New Media early is cheaper than competing after the next breakthrough.

For tourism and city marketing: music acts that put Istanbul on international screens complement the work Turkish series do for destination awareness. Festival formats like Manifestival can attract fan travel to Istanbul.

For creative companies: the Manifest model creates steady demand for production services at international quality. Turkish studios and agencies with experience in music video, choreography and live shows should position themselves for the next wave of trained pop acts.
